Work Experience

Jim has been professionally and passionately engaged in helping individuals and couples pursue financial peace, success and security since 1985. He has worked in large national organizations, regional firms and small local firms along the way. This broad organizational experience has led Jim to create a small firm serving clients as a fiduciary – pursuing the clients highest and best interests above all else.

Professionally, Jim is focused on growing client investment accounts while seeking to manage risk and volatility.  He is actively engaged in investment research and analysis, monitoring the financial markets and specific ETF's and stocks through technical analysis of price trends and current performance.

Professional Credentials and Education

Jim has earned the professional designation of Chartered Market Technician.  Technical analysis of securities is most commonly known as "charting."  Charts present price and volume information that may give insight into the supply and demand for a security.  Technical analysis is a complement to fundamental analysis.  Jim uses fundamental and technical analysis to guide his work in managing portfolios.

Jim earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis in 1983. His focus at Wash. U. was Finance, Investment and Economics. Jim has been a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER PROFFESSIONAL™ since 1997. Jim is also a Certified Kingdom Advisor incorporating biblical wisdom into his business, life and client relationships.

Jim has also earned the Chartered Life Underwriter, and Chartered Financial Consultant professional designations.

Life Philosophy

“You can get everything you want from life by helping other people get what they want”  Zig Ziglar

Jim is a follower of Jesus Christ. Jim's theology is rooted in the grace of God shown in the work of Jesus Christ on the cross as the payment for the sins of those who will accept their need for grace and forgiveness.

Money is important. But it is not an end in itself. How we manage our finances will have a great impact on how we live our lives and spend our time. It will advance or limit our ability to provide for our families, experience life and bless others.  How we manage our investments should likewise contribute significantly to our financial growth, prosperity and our personal pursuits.
